At Home Sleep Apnea Testing
Minnie Hamilton Health System, in conjunction with NovaSom Inc., is proud
to announce the introduction of home Obstructive Sleep Apnea Testing.
Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a serious medical
condition that affects 18 million Americans. OSA is characterized by
abnormal pauses or low breathing during sleep. If you or a loved one
is showing sleep apnea symptoms, such as loud snoring or daytime sleepiness,
it may be comforting to know you're not alone. Undiagnosed and
untreated, sleep apnea can lead to serious health problems such as high
blood pressure, heart attacks and strokes, and has been associated with
depression, diabetes, and sexual dysfunction. In addition, untreated
sleep apnea may be responsible for depression, impaired work productivity,
and higher risk of motor vehicle accidents. Please call Rebecca Ewing
at (304)354-9722 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
